💔The Downside of Dating With Low Self-Esteem🥺

When we have low self-esteem, we may find ourselves drawn to certain types of people in our dating lives. These people may not be the best partners for us, but we may feel like we don't deserve better or that they are the only ones who will accept us. Here are some common types of people we may choose to date when we have low self-esteem:

1. The Fixer-Upper: This is someone who has a lot of problems and needs fixing. We may feel like we can help them and make their life better, but in reality, we are just trying to distract ourselves from our own issues.

2. The Narcissist: Narcissists can be very charming and charismatic, which can be appealing to someone with low self-esteem. However, narcissists are often emotionally unavailable and only interested in themselves.

3. The People-Pleaser: This is someone who will do anything to make us happy, even if it means sacrificing their own needs and desires. While it may feel good to have someone who caters to us, it can be unhealthy and enable our low self-esteem.

4. The Abuser: Unfortunately, people with low self-esteem may find themselves in relationships with abusive partners. They may feel like they don't deserve better or that the abuse is their fault.

It's important to recognize these patterns and work on building our self-esteem so that we can attract healthier partners and have healthier relationships. This can involve therapy, self-care, and building a support system. Remember, we all deserve to be in relationships that make us feel good about ourselves and bring out the best in us.
